I’ve seen mani a couple of times now and he’s been extremely helpful. During my first appointment he was extremely comfortable to talk to. I know I can’t be the only one who struggles opening up in these appointments, but Mani helped a lot. The entire office is very welcoming and warm, from the up front staff to the doctors you work with. I missed my second appointment on accident but the great ladies up front waived the fee for me as well, which was so kind. You rule Sylvia!

Great experience every time with transition center. The front desk person is very personable and is knowledgeable about the services Offered. They are always attentive to my needs. For example, there was a little bit longer of a wait than usual, so they handed out water bottles to everyone to make sure we were happy. The doctors and nurses were all helpful and answered any question that I had when I had them. I would highly recommend coming here if you need a psychiatrist or have had any issues with substance abuse.

As a new patient and after struggling for years to find a fitting psychiatrist, I was surprising impressed starting from the receptionist making me feel extremely welcomed. I also had a great experience Ms. Sell and she definitely put time and effort in my individual care. Lastly, I have been referred several times to redemption and had two bad experiences — I hate to say anything negative about other places unless it is valid..so just wanted to give a warning about redemption.

Great positive atmosphere! The entire staff was friendly and very helpful, with a very cheerful and warm receptionist. I would definitely recommend this facility to others.

I had a GREAT new patient appointment with Mani. He was professional and showed a tremendous amount of compassion and empathy. He listened to my concerns, and provided feedback letting me know he was paying attention. This is so important to me, to us all, as we strive towards overcoming the stigma of taking care of our mental health needs. Mani additionally went the extra mile in providing a letter for my employer verifying my appointment. I am not sure I have ever had that offered, and given. Its shows a great deal of care about my whole wellness. I highly recommend him and the Transitions Center for treating your mental health.

I work with them in regards to my sleep disorder. The Doctor is great, and the staff is awesome. I appreciate them so much and the job they do.

Ms. Sell is great. You can really tell she has confidence in what she’s doing and understands her craft. The other staffis also very kind, helpful and is conscious of your needs while in the office.

It is with great pleasure that I recognize Mariel for any position working with adults and young adult clients at any level. She easily has the most positive, upbeat and energetic spirit of any person I have ever met. Mariel brings both a positive energy and a professionalism that raises the outlook of those, whom she is working with. Because of Mariel's high expectations for herself, she approaches tasks with a "can do" attitude that tends to be contagious. She is able to work independently as well as with her peers, in both leadership and supportive roles. As Mariel takes on new challenges before her, she communicates her ideas, thoughts, and concerns all in creative and constructive ways that both express her enthusiasm while still respecting her peers and clients. Mariel is creative in her approaches to people, scheduling, and challenges set before her. Because of her creativity, she is able to work in a wide variety of situations and bring out the best in others. I believe we need people like Mariel in psychiatric and mental health facilities to help others think outside the box, while valuing each person's individuality. She is an amazing young woman, and will be an asset to any environment.

Mariel is amazing. I love coming to this office to see her. When I go in she knows who I am by name and she always asks how I am doing. I know that she genuinely cares about what is happening in my life. I had an issue with billing and I called Mariel to discuss, she helped me out with who I need to call and if I need to discuss scheduling she is right there to straighten things out. She is definitely an asset to this office and a great constant that keeps me coming back. Thank you Mariel for all you do.

A comforting office.

Very nice establishment, clean and well kept. The staff is extremely helpful and they always have a smile on their face. All around an enjoyable experience from helpful people. I couldn't ask for more.

Awesome and caring staff! Dr. Akhter is extremely knowledgeable, I appreciated his "evidence based" approach. He spent ample time listening and asking the right questions before devising a treatment plan. Dr Akhter gladly took the time to include my husband towards the end of my appointment patiently reiterating what he and I had already discussed, (in laymans terms) at my request. Thorough and thoughtful in making sure we didn't leave his office with unanswered questions. I highly recommend Transitions Center and Dr Akhter for quality mental health care services.

I have had nothing but a great experience with all the staff at transitions center. They always go above and beyond for their patients. Wait time for the Dr. Is very minimal if not at all. I had a problem with my insurance and Mary went out of her way to call my insurance right away and got my script approved that day! Dr. Akhter is a very understanding and patient Dr. Who goes out of his way to help you.. Thank you Transitions Center!!!!!

My husband and I started coming here earlier this year and the staff are all wonderful and always make us feel very comfortable. Dr. Akhtar is very easy to talk to. We are very happy we found Transitions Center.

The trasition center is a great place to go. The general atmosphere is comforting, not like one of those emotionless, plain walled places with employees that just want to go home. I was genuinely surprised as to how nice the inside of the establishment looked. AND... they have candy in the lobby.

Transitions Center is a great place. The staff are fantastic. From the receptionists, that will really listen to your needs and assist you, to the Dr. Who always listens and treats on a case by case basis. They even have a therapist on staff that has excellent experience and is really helpful! - Call them! (Sometimes they don't answer, but if you leave a message they will call you back very quickly)
