Stopped in with no appointment(around lunch time no less)for a grinding noise from the RF wheel. Gene and his crew got me right in and back on the road quickly. Thanks guys!
These guys do the BEST work at great prices. Always
Participated in a team building volunteer event here and what a great organization. The backstory of the rescue is fascinating and their entire space is filled wall to wall with love for animals. I look forward to volunteering here again on my own time.
Honest great workmanship.
Gene and his crew are honest workers. I took my car to another mechanic around town first and they were charging me 3 times more and they were making up things that where not wrong. Good thing I took it go Gene's auto worx.
Oh my what else can I say except I adore the residence of this place. Get a pet or shall I say a new friend from this location if you have an emergency and meet certain requirements inquire about free pet food for your animal and temp shelter. They love their military and veterans. Great place to volunteer my new place to help out and give along with the other amazing shelters LOVE you guys.
There just isn’t enough good things I can say about this place. It took me some time to think of what exactly I wanted to say, but I feel it still wouldn’t do justice for what these people do, Day in and day out for these dogs. I had just lost my fiancé June 2017 after a long battle with heart problems. I did my best to makes ends meet through those few hard years for my family and pets but It wasn’t enough for what they needed. I was soon faced with losing my home but even worse my loving pets who had been by my side the entire time. I searched for a rescue near me for weeks but I was only faced with closed doors. I sent out a final plea for anyone to please help me because I could not, would not, take them to the pound. I got my prayers answered by Lost our home rescue. Paige was very helpful with making me feel comfortable about my decision, she also showed us around and explained their adoption process. their facility is beautiful and comfortable for the dogs. And they take them out plenty of times a day for adequate exercise. Ive been to many rescues, and have been to a few of them to volunteer and groom dogs for them but by far their cleanliness and handling of the animals is far superior at Lost our homes rescue. The employees surrounded my dogs with love and hugs and I just knew they where in the right place . Again from the bottom of my heart thank you guys for helping me in the hardest Time of my life and one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do.
Staff is very nice. Lots of babies that need good homes. I took home 2.they have settled in nicely. They still hiss at the dogs but I think it's more for show.
I had a really good experience with this shelter. I adopted a cat there and in addition to vaccines, it being chipped etc. the cat got a free wellness exam. The animals were not crammed in cages but they could walk freely around the room, they had cat trees there. The employees were very kind, answered all my questions and explained everything well.
I found 2 beautiful kittens. Formally known as Tim and Lester, now known as Kane and Able. It took a couple of days to adjust to their new home, but now they run around everywhere. It will probably take them a few more days to adjust to the dogs.
These guys have never let me down. I highly recommend them!
Really nicely run. Great environment. What you want a pet shelter to look like
I was moving however I had to leave the old place before the new place was ready. The hotels were booked because of spring training and I had no where to take my cats. Then I found Lost Our Homes they took in my babies gave them a shot they needed and keep my babies safe while I took care of things to get in the new place. The staff was wonderful, kind, friendly and very understanding of the level of stress I was going through. The place is clean and I could tell everyone there loved the animals. Thank you to the staff for being there.
This was the nicest animal shelter I’ve ever been to. The staff and volunteers were helpful and it’s obvious they loved the animals. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a new pet/ companion.
Great place. I was referred here by another shelter when I became homeless. The people that work here are angels. I paid just a tiny bit more than their already super cheap boarding rate, so they decided to give my dog free dental. They have a million great volunteers that will take care of and love your pets while you're away, and rescue pets are always better than store bought pets because they know sorrow and will be humble and appreciate a good home. I can't thank them enough for what they did for me and the sweet pets they are there for. If you want a part time or perfect pet, please don't apply. They get too many returns for stupid reasons (shedding, chasing cats, disabilities). If you just want to love an animal that will return the favor times 100, or can't keep your pet but don't want to give them up permanently, or perhaps have to give up a pet for one of life's difficult reasons, this is definitely the place for you. If you do want a temporary pet, you can also be a foster parent, they are desperately needed and well appreciated.
This place is wonderful!! They really let you interact with the animals they have at the shelter and take the time to walk you through the adoption process. We recently adopted from LOH and it was so sweet to see all the staff come out and say goodbye to our new furry friend. These people really care about animals and giving them a safe, loving home! They don't rush you through the process of adopting, both for your sake and the sake of the animals. Would 100% adopt from Lost Our Home again and recommend them to anyone!
This is the cleanest shelter I've ever been to. The animals are very well taken care of by the staff and regular volunteers. This shelter is unique as it specializes in temporary boarding for pets (for families in need) so they may have less for adoption than most other shelters. Their animals adopt fast so come visit as soon as possible if you see one on the website you think you want to adopt!
I love visiting the cat rooms and giving the adoptable cats some Love! One of these days I will adopt one when it feels right. :)
So well managed. Great staff and very clean.
Very innovative rescue programs! Join them for 12/03/17 Champagne Brunch's Silent Auction of new quality items!
Wonderful volunteer pet shelter focused on pets and people displaced from their homes or otherwise in need of help.
My Katie and Rufus and Alley is temporarily here... Great staff they love them and keep their room clean... All the staff spend time with my babies... I recommend them
Wonderful, compassionate staff. The adoption process is straightforward. They'll even let you borrow a pet carrier as long as you bring it back promptly.
I've been volunteering here for a little over a year, and I love this shelter and everything that it stands for. They work so hard to make sure every animal in there gets another chance at a forever home. They care so much for these animals, and they have so many other volunteers there helping out. If you're thinking about getting a pet, check out Lost Our Home.
I first visited Lost Our Home in July of 2016. I was honored to become the pet parent of a beautiful little girl named Brandi. As you can see Miss Brandi loves her food! This is a work in progress for her to get to an acceptable weight. The next time I visited Lost Our Home I became a foster mom to an adorable little guy named Maxwell. This is the happiest little fellow I have ever met. I eventually was offered to adopt Mr. Max and gladly jumped at the chance. Since acquiring Max his previous owner asked that I take another dog she was unable to care for so I took in Max's "sister" Sophia. Lost Our Home is the cleanest and most well managed animal rescue I have ever encountered. The staff is incredible and care deeply for their animals. I am currently a student with an animal behavioral college and am hoping to do my externship at Lost Our Home. They are angels for all our furry friends. Please adopt from a rescue - the rewards are tremendous.
Truly passionate people. Great experience
I love this place. I found my new furry friend there and am forever grateful ❤
I Volunteer here and all animals are treated with care and love and are super friendly but we'll let you know if a certain animal isn't ok with dogs/cats, young children and other questions can be answered.
Great place! If you are looking to add a furry friend to the family PLEASE adopt! Every time someone "Buys" dogs from ads on the internet, that cute puppy at the mall, or even a litter you find online, chances are they are from a puppy mill.. NOT always... But more than we should be comfortable with. Please support Foundations such as Lost Our Home pet foundation, Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, the county animal shelter, etc. SAVE A LIFE! LOST OUR HOME PET FOUNDATION is doing amazing work! Impressive, knowledgeable and loving staff! Let them help you find the right furry friend. And if you're not sure that it's the right addition, schedule an appointment for a meet & greet with the entire family including any fury family members. Need more time? Ask to take him or her home for the weekend with a weekend pass and see if it's the right fit! Not only are you able to find out if this pet works great for you and your family, you're giving the Foundation valuable information about the animal they might not know. Info that could get that pet their Forever Home faster!
I want to give this place five stars because they took excellent care of my cats, which I am very grateful for. However, there were some practices and policies that I still cannot understand. Before you read any further, understand that if you want to adopt a cat or dog, you should do it here. The abandon/sick/abused cats and dog here were fortunate to find their way to to Lost Our Home. They are taken car of extremely well. If you adopt here, you will get a pet that knows what unconditional love is. If you are looking to board, they will take wonderful care of your pet, and even have volunteers there are there simply to provide love and comfort to the animals there. I cannot overstate how good these folks are what they do. With that said...my cats were for two months, and I am 100% satisfied with how they were treated, loved, and cared for. I have zero complaints about the service provided. The thing I don't understand is how much the service cost me when taken in context with the purpose of the service and why I needed it...I lost my home, and had no income at the time...but had to come up with over $400 a month. I was able to beg my family to cover the expense...meanwhile, when my allotted time there was running out, one of the workers there let it slip that they needed to clear up room for the pets of people going on vacation for the holidays. After I questioned how; -A) a non-profit could deny continued service to someone in need that qualified to their own written standards; -B) how a non-profit could allow a low income/termporary boarding service to be used a cheap kennel for people with enough money to go vacation (leading me to believe that folks lied about the financial/housing distresses, and that LoH knew this); -C) how they could justify charging myself, and others like me, so much money. Two days later, they relented, and said my cats could have another 30 days there, but the same cost still applied. Also, in their defense, when I almost needed another additional 30 days at the end of the second month, they did offer the third and final 30 days, and at a lower price. Despite my appreciation for that offer, it came hours after I discovered another solution to my situation. All in all, while I became aggravated and confused at times with the price, policies, and procedures with Lost Our Home on the business end,I am overwhelmingly grateful that my cats, whom I love deeply, were kept safe and sheltered in such a loving and caring environment. That piece of mind, and stilling having my babies in my life, is priceless to me. I will never forget that. If you want to adopt, do it here. If you need short term care for your pets, you will not find a place that will do a better job.
Not so good at returning emails or phone calls but I love what there doing for the animals there caring for
Neat set up....Great selections of awesome pets....go there
Great foundation, they're really making a difference.
We adopted our dog Murphy from Lost Our Home 2 years ago and he is the light of our life. Lost Our Home is an amazing organization that does great things for animals and for people that are victims of domestic violence
